Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
If you’ve got an idea for a web application or native mobile app, one of the first steps you can take is to create a “minimum viable product”, or “MVP” for short. Your MVP is a way of proving your concept with an initial minimal version of your product. A product that has enough features to satisfy your early adopters.
Just enough features
An MVP is preferable to building a prototype or proof-of-concept in that you don’t have to throw it away when you decide to go ahead and build the full product – you simply build on top of the MVP to add more features.
You don’t need any technical background or design expertise – that’s what we’re here for. We’ll take care of all the techie and design stuff, allowing you to focus on the product and business itself.
With this considered, MVPs are great value for money – we lay the foundations to get people using your product, and in turn get your revenue streams up and running.
We’ll aim to do 3-4 hours of workshop sessions with you – we’ll get to the bottom of what your idea is, who will be using it, what they will be able to do etc.
Clickable prototype within the first week – we work fast and send regular ‘snapshot releases’ so you can get your hands on a basic version of your app as soon as possible.
Coding the functionality of your app. We work “agile” which means weekly catch-ups with you where we will show you the progress since our last meeting.
Pilot / Launch Beta
Within just a few short weeks, we will have turned an idea in your head into a working mobile or web application that is ready to be put in front of investors, early adopters or even paying customers.
Funding for software development
You don’t necessarily need to fund the whole project yourself: There are many grants available for people looking to build an MVP. We can let you know about the grants that might be applicable to your project and point you to the right people to speak to.
